An aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) in the Dome Kwabenya constituency, Ms Elikplim Akurgu, has vowed to unseat the current MP Sarah Adwoa Safo in the 2020 general elections.
According to her, Ms Safo has failed to provide the needed development in the constituency, hence, the electorate have resolved to vote against her.
Ms Akurgu said this at the inauguration of 2020 door-to-door campaign at Atomic Guest House in the Dome Kwabenya constituency.
She said the main opposition NDC has put in place measures to win the elections next year. Ms Akrugu called on the branch executives in the constituency, to work in unity to ensure that they unseat the incumbent MP.
She added that the NDC is going to use the Jehovah Witness approach, the door-to-door campaign, to sell the party in the constituency, and will bring every member on board to win power.
Some members of the NDC party also said they are disappointed in politicians because they only remember them when their looking for power but they are going to support Ms Akurugu to win the Dome Kwabenya seat in 2020 because Ms Safo has failed them.
