The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced that it has “completed diversion of its 330kV Aboadze-Tema transmission line traversing the on-going highway interchange at Pokuase.
A statement issued to that effect by the Head of Public Relations at GRIDCo, Albert Kwesi Quainoo on Tuesday, 19 March 2019 said they are committed to providing “reliable electricity supply to consumers”.
Some parts of the capital had experienced intermittent power outages which was attributed to the engineering works at Pokuase.
GRIDCo, therefore requested for a 10-hour load shedding by the Power Distribution Service (PDS).
PDS, subsequently allayed fears of a return to 'dumsor' where power cuts were rampant few years ago affecting industrial and domestic users of power in the country.
