Serial Callers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region are planning a meeting with President Nana Akufo-Addo to discuss their plight with him vis-à-vis their work.
Wofa Anokye, leader of the NPP Serial Callers in the region told Chief Jerry Forson on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM that the party executives have not fulfilled the promises that were made to them while in opposition.
He explained that they have had to spend their own money and other resources to call into radio stations to defend the party and also explain government policies to Ghanaians.
To that end, they expect to be resourced and financed by the party.
“We want to meet the president and complain to him about our plight. We spend a lot in buying phone credits to call into radio programmes,” Wofa Anokye said.
He added: “Most of the serial callers have their own work that they are doing but their work is going down because they have channeled their resources and time into party activities. We are struggling in the region, most of us are hungry.”
