Luis Enrique has been confirmed as the new Spain boss.
The former Barcelona boss has agreed a two-year deal following a disappointing World Cup campaign.
The 2010 champions were knocked out by Russia in the last 16 after a campaign that began with the departure of Julen Lopetegui following his appointment as Real Madrid boss.
Fernando Hierro took the job for the tournament but has not stayed on and Enrique has now been named as the new coach.
He will lead his country into the qualifying campaign for Euro 2020 and potentially into the next World Cup in four years.
Enrique left Barcelona at the end of the 2016/17 season after three years with the club.
He has since been linked with jobs at Chelsea and Arsenal but has agreed to take over his country.
The 48-year-old replaces Hierro, who only stepped into the job 48 hours before the World Cup opener with Portugal.
Lopetegui was axed after agreeing to take the Real Madrid job after the tournament, without consulting the Spanish FA.
Hierro led Spain to draws with Portugal and Morocco and a narrow victory over Iran before their shootout exit to Russia.
